Description
The Liberator Class Deep Space Vehicle is a TOS design by me. And is a cross-over design of the Liberator from "Blake's 7"After I did the London, I just had to do the Big "L". And since my TMP version (that I posted several years ago) sucked, I went Original Series.

NCC-1978, eh? That's my birth year. Well, not the NCC part, obviously.

It's also the same year the British sci-fi show "Blake's 7" came out. Which is what the ship was based off of.

Oh, I'm familiar with Blake's 7, though I've only seen a few episodes, I'm sad to say.

It's a good program. I'm a bit worried about the upcoming reboot

Worried there'd be too much focus on fancy CGI, and not enough on the actual stories?

That, and to many changes in the characters, to make them more "modern".

Blake's 7 is a series crying out for a BSG style makeover. Brilliant concept and whilst it has aged well it could do with an update personally. As long as they don't rework Liberator too much ofc^^

As long as they don't overdo the revamping.

Yeah totally agree there. I just feel that the filming style of BSG with the odd grainy shot and some sets that didn't wobble when someone stepped through them would be nice

Interesting bit of writing. Like classic "Doctor Who", it's really good if you can get past the lousy 1970s effects.
"Star Blazers" is kewl...Doubt I'll do any cross-overs with it. Only so much you can do with a WWII era battleship.

I grew up watching Knight Rider on a Yunost TV set (small, made in USSR, black-and-white, SECAM), so I have nothing against lousy effects

I recognized this, even as an icon, especially after the other pic you did.
the only thing I feel about this as well as the blake's 7 ship is that it should go right to left.
Awesome job!

I try to keep all my ships going the same direction...Don't want anyone getting lost.
Thanks.

No, I don't think you understand. To me, the Blakes 7 ship looked like it was going backwards.
The ship above likewise, looks like the nose should be (what is depicted as the back) on the left.
You're welcome.

Ohhhhh...Oops. Gotcha. Well, the angle of the nacelle pylons didn't help.
