Description A total lunar eclipse on Tuesday August 28, 2007. Seen from Wellington, New Zealand.
Lunar eclipses occur when the moon passes behind the earth so that the earth blocks the sun's rays from striking the moon. This one was the longest and deepest lunar eclipse seen in seven years and was seen all over Oceania.
