Hey, I've got a question for you, don't take offense or anything. When you vector, what are you vectoring over? Fanart that you've drawn yourself and then drawn over on the computer. Or do you draw the vector over official screenshot? Just curious.

With DBZ vectors I vector over my own drawings (but still use reference from screenshots and stuff) but with Bleach fanart, like this one, I vectorized over the actual screenshot. I know that's against DA policies but I do it with the purpose of practicing, that's all

Ok, I just wanted to know. I don't want to praise people who trace over screenshots (those who don't admit especially).
Not that you didn't do a great job, becasue you did, I just personally respect vectors more if it's the artists own drawing they're tracing over.
I hope this doesn't offend you or anything for your Bleach fanart. Practice is fine, but maybe say that it was from a screenshot and/or put in scraps. I'm not trying to tell you what to do or anything, I just wanted to give a heads up cause there are lots of others on here who don't like people who vector over the real thing.

That's a good point. And of course I don't take it wrong. But changing the category moving it to scraps problably isn't a good idea. DA policy is more tolerant of fanart vectors. I'm aware of the "danger" but until today haven't had any problems with my vectors (and notice that only a few works in my gallery are vectors, and even less are traced). I only had problems with avatars made with screenshots. That's why I don't post them here anymore.
But if I start having problems, I will have to change my ways

I'm noticing more vectors around all of DA, and unfortuanatly,more popping up on the front page, and not saying whether it's their fanart or screenshots they used.
I just want to know how of much of it is the artist's hard work and how much is the computer.

I've never officially tried it, but I've played around w/ pen tool a few times and I can tell it would be very hard. I understand that, I respect if it's your own fanart that you're drawing over. Otherwise, it's like tracing, and that's fine for practice or scraps but shouldn't be so celebrated.
