I'd seen your (and others') art shipping these two. Now having watched the first five episodes of the series, I can see this isn't a fanship. The writers don't seem to be particularly subtle about it either. 
I'm also trying to ease myself back into Mass Effect. It's hard, after being hurt so badly before. But we had such good times for the most part, and it swears it's changed. Maybe.... maybe this time will be different.
