Just as my previous post showed, I had kept mementos from my marriage, rings included. But, for the same reason that marriage ended, what’s the point in hanging onto something that doesn’t make you feel the way it should? He called me the New Years Eve after the divorce to tell me he was never in love with me. A few days later, I took the rings to the longest pier I could find and threw them into the Pacific Ocean.
