Whenever someone were to talk ill of Melanie, They'd be found dead the next day. It's because of the Phantom taking away their life Force, in anger at them for saying horrible things about Melanie. But the Phantom soon realized that his actions are negatively affecting Melanie's life. So he left for a few years.
A year passed, and the Phantom regained the courage to return to Melanie. Only to hear that She had been wedded with a fellow miner who worked for Melanie's Father's mining company. Feeling heartbroken and angry. He once again, went against the code of the grim reapers... Personally taking the life of living person. He went to Ravenswood Manor, and in his anger. Lured The Miner to the attic, and hanged him on the rafters. And then, casted a curse on Ravenswood Manor, which causes the deaths of all of the wedding guests. And unknowingly... Melanie too.
The Mansion had been cursed to this day...
