Description
I entered a logo design contest for a local recording studio soon to be re-named Osceola Music, Inc. . You could have up to three entries, so I did three. Supposedly they were going to make a decision last week (2.17.06), but I called up there and the guy I talked to said he thought they were making the decision this week (2.24.06). whatever. I'll post the blub I gave them about this logo below:

For my final design, I decided to combine the elements of the retro
look and the more modern look; I also focused more specifically on the
performance aspect of music. I used the same serif typeface as the
first design and the flowing lines of the instrument cords as retro
elements. The guitar and microphone keep the design from being
obviously retro, but the feeling of nostalgia is still incorporated
from the retro elements and also by using the silhouette of a Les Paul
guitar.
