Description I know this is going to sound like a joke but I mean it completely earnestly: my friend's furry dating VN made me realize that I'm genderfluid.

Okay there's more to it than that but I can only say most things in the form of jokes. Growing up, I never really questioned gender stuff. But from playing a non-binary character in a friend's tabletop, from Jim Sterling coming out as non-binary (someone for whom I never saw that coming), and from playing a woman and just getting to exist with friends who treated me as such... it got me thinking about stuff.

I'm still doing a lot of questioning, but the way I feel about stuff keeps drifting. That said? It's really freeing to explore it at all. Putting it in art terms, it felt like I was always limiting myself to certain colors on a palette, even though there were always others I could try. Now it feels like I can use all of them or some of them or none of them. And I cannot adequately convey how powerful that realization felt. Since that point, I actually felt like MYSELF, rather than like "me" is a quiet performance that I hasn't even realized I was doing.

Gender stuff is still like, way out of the territory of things that I usually think about, but my friends have been really supportive in helping me think about this stuff. Things might change down the line of course, but for now, I think genderfluid is a good label for it.

Basically he/she/or they all work fine for me now. Some more than others depending on whatever boy/girl/none chemicals are blobbing at each other in my head.
