Description Drifting in the currents close to shore, Tsavorite Shell observed a large crab waving his claws at her in aggitation. "Is there something you need?" she asked with concern, curious as to what should cause a crab to flag her down.

"Well it's about time!" he snapped with annoyance. "I've been trying to catch your attention for days now, and you ever keep swimming past! How would you like it if everyone ignored you day after day?"

Tsavorite blinked. "I beg your pardon. What is it you need?"

Taking a deep breath, the crab was about to say when he stopped and frowned. "I... hm. That's odd, I can't recall what was so important after so long." Pondering, the crab watched small fish swim past and caught one to nibble on. "This is very frustrating... now that you're listening, I can't remember a thing."

The seahorse smiled, finned tail stroking to hold her in place as she patiently waited.

(smiles) No worries. I'm glad you like her, and pleased that you found the dialogue to be amusing.

beautifully rendered. the seahorse is very elegant and really appears to be floating in the sea. And the dot's! I haven't done dot coloring in forever.. I think it was because I had not paitience for it... 2 min into it I just did a flat color... probibly why I got a "D" on that art assignment.

Heh... I get sucked into it. When I do a b/w ink drawing, I often end up adding a ton of details, or otherwise visually fill the white space with as much black as possible without dumping black over the full page. And with the dots (stippling), it's easy to take a break and do something else then come back to it later. But repetative things like this don't bother me.

Thanks for the comment!

My daughter did a dot inspired art piece at school.. they were using blotters like you would use at bingo. I thought those were kinda nifty, no fuss, no mess. And to blend the colors you just blot another color on top. I think I could do that.. it would require nearly as much paitience.

(chuckles) They sell self-moistening envelope sealers that could be used so, but they are made of =very= cheap sponges and fall apart really soon. Better yet, there are sponges on sticks sold in the craft areas where stenciling supplies are kept that tend to be round. Your image would have to be on a fair-sized canvus, but it could be done. And if you wanted to practice on cheap poster paper a few times first... (smiles) I'd love to see it if you =do= try it.

you know I think I know what stencils you mean. I've seen them and thought "what a funny sponge?!" That could be really fun for me and the little.. it would have to be a pretty big canvas surface.. but man o man that would be fun!! I think I have this weekend's activity!!! Sweet!

she didn't want to paint with me...

so we went house hunting. she liked going to all the houses and picking out what would be her room... it was adorable. her, not the house.. they were crap. 1 out of the 5 was livable.. for us.

Wow... that does suck. Yeah... I recall house-hunting before my divorce, and all the ones that were "liveable" were way too expensive... and generally laid out poorly even if they were brand new. Only the best of the best (WAY out of our reach) were possessed of decent sized rooms, and then there were too darned many rooms.

(blushes, bows) Thanks! I really enjoy how well the colors came out as well! And I am thinking of perhaps doing more in this style. Just what I'll do is something I'll have to work out. Suggestions?

Heh... I was just pulled out of bed after three hours of sleep which started perhaps an hour after I posted this. Seems this style is collecting a fair bit of interest, so I'll just have to try it again with something else. (grins)

Wow... I just barely got this up and it already has a comment! (grins) I think this is the fastest I've picked up a comment so far.

Glad you liked it! I liked how the colors turned out when I painted it by dabbing at it with my pens rather than stroking. Perhaps next time I shall not use lines, or hardly use lines at all.

Just clicked on brows and this catched my eye It's really nice getting fast comments

I liked how the dabbing worked. Or else you should exchange with lines and dabbing, so there will be a variety

It was first a line drawing; you can still see the green lines if you look for them around the seahorse and as part of the seaweed and the seabed, too.
