YES. YES. YES. GO ME. I still can't believe how quickly this has come about... It's been just under 24 hours that I did my Belle Study [link] and now we have an original drawing with lines and fancy bg done in Illustrator, which I haven't touched in forever. The Disney style lends itself well to Illustrator.So, yes. I did this image all myself, without a direct reference. ...except for the Beasties in the top corners. Those are directly based on the logo for the Beauty & the Beast musical.
The background styling is based on those of Alphonse Mucha, specifically his painting "Dance" which is now hanging on my wall. The gown is just a mishmash of things I made up on the spur of the moment.
Dear Disney: Please don't sue me. I'm just too much in love with this to let lawyerlyness bring down my high...

My life!!! This is so awesome! I love it! The expression on her face is somewhat reminiscent of a painting of Mary Queen of Scots, or something. This is so so so cool.

I couldn't find a good link to the painting it had originally reminded me of, but I found one that was similar. It's here: [link] , and I hope you don't think I'm crazy. hahaha. I felt your drawing was similar to it because of how regal she looks, and just the way she's looking off, with a serene look on her face. Of course, in the drawing you did she's happier, and prettier.

Well, it starts out as just the prince, and he's an arrogant prat, so my guess is something happened to them when he was young and it turned him into a little brat.
