Description
For my religion class we were assigned to 'map' the city's (New York's) religious elements. I chose the Upper West Side, Broadway between 106th & 110th St. Broadway begins to angle around 107th, and there's a triangular meridian/park there... an immersive little slice of paradise amongst the bustle.I didn't get to take a close look at the signs, I only know that the space was donated or commemorated by Giuliani. If anyone knows something about this Greek Goddess-esque statue, I would love to hear it.
And I decided to share, because the light is just gorgeous. And the pigeons rawk.

Wow, this almost looks like a sort of natural sanctuary in the middle of the city! I find it pretty interesting how the light on the right side almost seems to dissolve the tree branch. Heheh...pigeons. XD It's fun to chase them.

Yeah, it was the light that did it for me. This does feel like a little sanctuary. You're surrounded on both sides by trees and bushes so you're sheilded from the rest of Broadway.
O_o I would never dare to chase the pigeons. Pigeons scare the shiznits out of me.
