Alenination zone means zone closed off or excluded from everything else.

People still live near and around the site of the Chernobyl site.

Eventhough people still live there a lot of people call it the alenination zone. I have seen videos of people who still live there.

Actually Chernobyl is a lot safer than Priypat. The radiation in Priypat is really high if you go into the old performing arts theater you'll be feeling radiation sickness. But if you're right outside the plant you'll have to stay there 48 hours to recieve the amount of radiation equivalent to 5 chest x-rays now that's something I find odd but they have a 48 hours clip on youtube that can tell you more about that.
