Description
Duncan awoke with a gasp but no air came to him. He gagged on the thin tube going down his throat. His instincts kicked in and he tried to reach up to pull it out but found his hands strapped to the side of the hospital bed, his legs were attached to the bottom. He let out a scream as he gasped for more air that didn’t come. Soon doctors filled the room. His eyes darted around as they pumped various liquids into his body though IVs. Pain shot through his body and his agonizing screams only made his lungs burn for air even more. He tugged at his restraints, cutting marks into his wrists and ankles. Their shouting voiced dulled in his mind and his vision blurred into nothing but indistinguishable shapes. His movements dwindled down to slight twitches here and there. He felt his mind starting to slip into unconsciousness and smiled slightly at the thought of peace from whatever madness he had gotten himself into. He took in a deep breath and closed his eyes for what seemed to be only a second.

No more yelling, no more pain. Just Silence.
