“KP?!” Honeydew called out as he slowly walked down the nether brick hall. KP had run into the portal just a minute ago before he did, and told Honeydew to come in if he didn’t come back after a while. He dodged the drops of lava that seeped through the roof, and let them fizzle to a crisp at his feet as he walked. Honeydew peered into the many empty rooms connected to the hall.

“KP?!” Honeydew called out again. He heard a quiet shuffling near the end of the hall and walked closer. He could see the iron chest plate that KP was wearing and hurried towards him. KP emerged from a room at the end of the hall, but so did Xephos. Honeydew stopped and stared at his broken friend as he held a diamond sword to KP’s throat. KP looked up at him, his face starting to bruise and his nose dripping blood.

“Ah, Honeydew I was wondering when you would come through. I didn’t think Verigan would have tried to attack alone, he wouldn’t get very far if he did.” Xephos grinned, his eyes glowing a dull red. Many thoughts raced through Honeydew’s head on whether to attack his friend or to stay put.

“R-Run…” KP coughed out.

“Shhh…don’t speak now we wouldn’t want me to rip those vocal chords out now would we?” Xephos tightened his grip on the sword. KP kept his mouth closed.

“You see Honeydew I came back to check on my precious Creeper_Boss and found this one lurking around. It wasn’t hard to overtake him, and if I hadn’t spotted him Creeper_Boss could have killed him with a stomp of his foot.” Xephos threw the weakened man onto the floor and unhooked something from his belt. KP tried to stand back up but found his body was paralyzed.

“Grr…” Honeydew reached for his pickaxe, but couldn’t bring himself to take it out.

“If I had just listened to you when you tried to explain it to me.” Honeydew swallowed hard. “This whole thing could have been done with.”

“Oh so you found out about our little deal? Who told you? I bet it was Zombie Boss, that weak fool.” Xephos pushed his foot into KP’s back, making him grunt as his back cracked. Honeydew stared at Xephos and saw the compassion in his light blue eyes over the darkness and despair in his eyes, but when he saw what he was doing to KP something inside of him snapped. He reached behind his head quickly and threw the pickaxe in one swift motion. Xephos suddenly sunk into the shadows and let the pickaxe hit the wall. Before Honeydew could even figure out what has happening Xephos appeared before him and his leg connected with Honeydew’s jaw. He was knocked back slightly. Honeydew put up his fists to block his face and crouched down slightly. Xephos smiled and his figure sunk into the shadows on the floor.

“Where are you, you bastard!” Xephos’s chuckling echoed off the walls. Honeydew saw something moving towards his feet. He took out a sword and stabbed it into the ground. Xephos appeared seconds later on the floor with a gash in his shoulder. Xephos took out his own sword and lunged at the dwarf with great speed. Honeydew blocked with his sword, but Xephos pushed him back with the attack and sent Honeydew flying into the wall behind him. He struck again and Honeydew blocked, but when he put his sword up he found it had broken and was only an inch long.

KP watched the whole fight and couldn’t even see Xephos moving when he struck the final blow. He only saw Honeydew collapse on the wall and blood spray from the gash on his chest.

“Noooo! Hero!” He yelled out. Xephos turned his attention to KP.

“I have a more painful fate than my sword for you. That paralysis potion won’t wear off for a while.” He smiled and snapped his fingers. A could of doors behind him opened up and someone stepped out. A slow moving figure slowly limped over and knelt down in from of Xephos. KP couldn’t see who it was from his position on the floor. He could only see they green dress they were wearing and their blonde hair.

“D-Daisy my darling?”

“You may eat now.” Xephos pointed to KP. Daisy turned around. Her eyes were dead and hungry, her skin was mostly gray, and blood trickled down her forehead from the crushed part of her skull, where her brains leaked out.

“grrrrnnn”
“D-Daisy?” KP chuckled nervously as he tried to move. She knelt down and clawed into his back, ripping out chucks of flesh with her sharpened claws.
“Have fun with the love of your life.” Xephos called out as he walked back to the dying Honeydew.

“GGAHHHH!!!” KP screamed for his life as Daisy devoured him. She only let out a gurgled groan in response to his screams. KP looked back up to where Honeydew was laying and saw him shrouded in a black mist as he reached out to Xephos, smiling.

“I -ave f-failed. F-Father your e-efforts w-w-were wasted…”
