~~Outside the kingdom~~

“Kaeyi ...” Martyn said tearing up.

“I’ll hold off the rest of the guards in the kingdom, you save Kaeyi and Toby!” Martyn nodded, wiping the frozen tears from his eyes. He stepped onto the grass, turning back to normal.

“Ok come on!” Zekkyou fought off guards at the entrance letting Martyn slip away. Martyn ran into the kingdom, hiding in the shadows.

“Kaeyi, Toby, please be allright...” He said looking around. An elderly woman saw Martyn and whispered to him.

“The square, the town square. You must go before-” She was interrupted by a high-pitched scream in the distance.

“Kaeyi!” Martyn pulled himself up onto one of the low roofs and began to run across the rooftops.

“As you see, subjects, this is what happens when you cross the Queen and our kingdom!” A guard said as he raised a baton in his hand.

“P-please...”Kaeyi teared up. She pulled against the post holding her down. Martyn jumped between Kaeyi and the guard, just as he brought the baton down, on his arm.

“Martyn!”Kaeyi yelled in delight. Martyn growled.

“RELEASE HER!”Martyn yelled.

“NEVER” The guard yelled back. Martyn gritted his teeth and punched the guard in the face. The guard yelled and dropped the baton before grabbing his nose. Martyn punched the guard in his face before kneeing him in his stomach.

“Don’t. Hurt. Kaeyi.” Martyn then walked over and freed Kaeyi from her restraints. Kaeyi hugged him tightly. Martyn gently touched the bruise forming on her cheek where the guard hit her before.

“Come on let’s get you somewhere safer.” Martyn said. Kaeyi nodded Martyn took her hand and lead her away from the square and towards the front of the city. Zekkyou caught up to them.

“Where’s Toby?”

“ I haven’t found him, but I need to get Kaeyi out of here. You look like you need some help too.”

“Don’t worry about me I’ll be fine.” Zekkyou said as pulled an arrow from his leg.

“ Come on we need to get you cleaned up too. Then we’ll find Toby. “

~Inside the dungeon~

Toby sat cowering in the back of his cell. A guard slid the gate door open.

“You’re to be hung for leading and helping the queen’s biggest enemy to our kingdom. “

“Wait! I didn’t lead him here! I didn’t even know this kingdom existed!”The guard grabbed his arm and pulled him up onto his feet. Toby pulled away from him.

“I didn’t do anything wrong!” Toby screamed. The guard dragged him outside into the town square. He nodded to the man holding a lever.

“You! get him ready! We can kill him” He shoved Toby towards another guard. Toby stopped struggling as a noose was looped around his neck.

“ Martyn... Kaeyi.. Zekkyou.. where are you guys?” Toby whimpered.
