“How do we get in?” Zekkyou and Kaeyi smile at each other

“I have an idea. Follow my lead, and just put your arms out.”They all p ll ut arms up and Zekkyou cuffs the three together

“Stay calm...”

“I don’t like where this is going” Martyn whispered to Toby.

“Me neither.” He whispered back.

“Make sure the guards don’t notice any weapons on you. Kaeyi, you can hold the key.” Kaeyi nodded and put the key in her boot.

“Wait..If this is my kingdom won’t they notice me?”

“That’s the thing. They will notice you.” Zekkyou said as he lead them towards the road.

“WHAT?!” Martyn pulled away from the group, dragging Toby with him.Zekkyou covered Martyn’s mouth.

“SHH!! They think I’m bringing you in as a prisoner. But, not really.”Martyn calmed down and tried to relax.

“Don’t worry. I have the key, and I can get us out in no time.” Kaeyi whispered, trying to reassure him. Martyn whimpered.

“Good acting. Time to go... Pretend to struggle, too.” Kaeyi said as she tugged her hands away.

“I wasn’t acting...” Martyn mumbled. They all made their way into the open road, leading to the gate. Martyn dug his heel into the ground, stopping the group.

“Let’s just go back” Zekkyou looked over and watched as the guards started approaching.

“No, you’re coming with me. It’s too late. “he winked at him.

“Let us go!” Toby yelled and pretended to struggle. Martyn started panicking, and yanked his hands from side to side.

“Let me go, Let me go, Let me go”

“Shut up. You’re coming with me NOW, so you can meet the new queen.” Zekkyou yelled.

“Martyn stopped and his eyes widened as the guards came closer.” Zekkyou pushed Martyn, making him stumble into the others.

“Halt! Who do you bring forward and why?” A guard said unsheathing his sword.

“Well, it started when this on” He pointed at Kaeyi.

“Ran off out of the kingdom. I chased her down, and when I caught her, she was with the King of the Saplings and his friend. I sent a messenger bird, and was reported to bring them in AT ONCE. You don’t want the queen to get angry... Do you?”The guard eyed the prisoners, circling them. He narrowed his eyes and got in Martyn’s face. Martyn nervously stumbled backwards a bit

“OPEN THE GATES!” The guard yelled, and moved away from Martyn and the others. The gates open, and Zekkyou drags the prisoners into the kingdom. Martyn looked around at the crumpled buildings and the people peering out at them.
“Toby....get me out of here...” Martyn whispered. Kaeyi knelt down, bringing the boys with her, and grabbed the key out of her boot. Zekkyou brought them to the castle walls.

“Okay, Kaeyi, unlock them.” He said as he peaked around the corner.Martyn stared at the castle walls in a daze.

“This place....it seems familiar...” Martyn said, rubbing his wrists after Kaeyi unlocked him. Kaeyi unlocked Toby, and then herself before joining Zekkyou. Toby flinched as they heard a cry from one of the houses, followed by the footsteps of guards. Zekkyou handed the three robes.

“Disguise yourselves!” Martyn threw the robe on, flipping the hood on his head.

“You know we’re screwed right?” Martyn whispered to Zekkyou.

“Yeah, pretty much...” Martyn walked over to a small building. Toby and Kaeyi follow after putting their hoods up. Martyn jumped up and grabbed onto the roof and pulled himself up. Zekkyou rans up.

“What are you doing, you maniac?!?”Zekkyou yelled while whispering.

“Hiding” Martyn said as he jumped onto the castle wall and pushed himself off onto the roof of a two-story building.

“He...does this when he’s nervous.” Toby whispered to the other two. Martyn began to slip on the icy roofs.

“If he falls I am going to-” They watched as Martyn fell onto the ground with a loud crack. Martyn stood up rubbing his hurt foot when he was picked up off the ground.

“Oh, no...” Kaeyi covered her mouth.
