Description
Lalnable’s stomach growled again and the small pain in his stomach sharpened.“I can’t kill him yet…There will be plenty of villagers outside...” He whispered to himself as he chanced a glance back at Rythian. His eyes darted to the left over specks of blood left on his hands. He twitched and directed his attention back to the closet of lab coats in the corner. He swung the metal doors open and slipped on a fresh white labcoat that looked more like a pea coat. He slipped his other one underneath to change into later.
“Throw this on. You’ll need to figure a way to cover up the markings on your face.” Lalnable ordered as he threw Rythian a buttoned up labcoat like his old one. Rythian slipped the coat over his grey shirt, buttoned it up and flipped up the collar so his scars were barely visible from the front.
“Good…Lalna left through a portal so they don’t have any footage in the main hall from him leaving”. Lalnable glanced at the clock inside his former prison.
“The guards are changing schedules right now. I watch the one in front of my cell switch with a new guard every hour. Lalna must have gotten here at the right time I doubt he could have planned it out. Which reminds me, he didn’t come in with another person in a labcoat.” Lalnable murmured.
“The guards make rounds in your cell don’t they. Every once in a while they would come into my cell and take a look around that I hadn’t tampered with anything.”
“Yes your right one does come in here every once in a while to make sure no glass was broken or cracked. When he comes in make sure that you steal their hat and uniform. No villagers will question you id you have on a security guard’s outfit.
“You want me to strip a guard!?”
“Don’t worry they’ll be dead by the time you touch them.” Rythian’s mind raced over and over. He began to reconsider escaping with the lunatic in front of him. He even considered teleporting out of here and leaving him to fend for himself. He was still unsure and suspicious of the man, who looked exactly like one of his rivals.
“If you’re not Lalna how come you look so much alike?” Lalnable sighed.
“It was a matter of time before you asked. I’m a clone of him from a couple of years in the future. I found the cure to the flux and saved myself but Kim was too far gone and died in the process of her healing. I renamed myself after that and became secluded as I grieved for her, I have been trying to draw a line between Lalna and here ever since to make it easier for myself. Although, if that hadn’t happened, my mind wouldn’t have opened up to new possibilities that came to me through madness. The world is a messed up and cruel place .Anyways people were trying to find new ways to power their force fields and machinery. I spent my time alone working with some of the last surviving villagers of my time. When I found a power source using their under developed minds I tried using the smartest scientist we had a YogLabs. I fried her brain to a crisp.” He chuckled lightly.
“As it turns out only the dimwitted minds of the testificates worked with my machinery, but because I killed Xephos’s top scientist he was determined to kill me and my master clone. I escaped using the last of my stored energy to power a time machine we left in the bunker of YogLabs. I recreated my machine and used the testificates from this world to power the things in my lab, under Lalna’s castle. I ran out of food down there and I was unable to leave at the time so I used one of the villagers for food,; their blood is sweet and tangy you should try it. I left when the flux took over and when Xephos found me he took me in as an extra hand around in YogLabs, seeing I had the same mind as Lalna. But my predatory instincts took over and I killed over half his staff.” His face stretched upward into a grin.
“He’s kept me here ever since because he needs my mind to build the things we build in the future. All I wanted was to help out the world but…the blood is so delicious, I’ve had so many types, O-negative is my favourite.” Lalanble snickered, his mind slowly becoming distorted again.
“What about everyone else how did they turn out?” Rythian questioned, his mind searched for more answers. Lalnable smiled and sighed.
“I can’t tell you, you might mess everything up, besides…” The door began to open.
“The guard’s here.” Lalnable cracked his neck and back. The guard spotted the two guys standing alone in the room and turned to run. He only got a few steps before Lalnable caught up to him grabbed him by his collar and pulled him back inside. In one swift motion Lalnable pulled him close and bit into his neck, spraying blood onto both their bodies. He dropped the twitching, and gasping man onto the ground.
“Give him a couple of minutes.” Lalnable said, licking the blood from him lips and new labcoat. Rythian stared at the pleading man as the light finally faded from his eyes. He was mortified at the sight.
“W-what have I-I gotten myself into…” Rythian moaned.
