“Oh come one Duncan! You said you would take me!” Kim whined. “We have nothing on the To Do List anymore! Please!” She leaned on the scientist as he worked over various chemicals.
“Kim, no, we can’t go, not right now.” Lalna said, wiping the sweat off his forehead, but leaving on hi fogged up goggles.
“Buy why noootttt”
“Kim! Stop, we’re not going! ” Lalna yelled, dropping the cylinder full of liquid onto the floor. Kim stared at him, worry filled her eyes.
“Look, Kim, I-I’ve been trying…trying to fix you for so long…but I can’t get it right!” He slammed his fist onto his desk.
“Duncan I already said I’m fine like this.” She smiled.
“No you aren’t. It’ll drive you mad, and trust me it’s not fun, not at all. It’s covered your arms completely now and your eye is..” He gripped tightly on the beaker in his hand, shattering it. He gasped and began to clean up the spilled contents on the floor. He was shaking as he dumped the contents into the trash and sat down. Kim put a hand onto his shoulder and he stopped instantly.
“I know I can’t see out of my eye anymore, I am talking to myself and the voices are getting louder but trust me I will be fine once I figure out the taint’s weakness.” Kim said as she hugged him.
“Fine.”
“What?”
“I said fine. I’ll take you to go see my failure of an experiment.” Kim smiled wide and ran upstairs to grab her things.
“Kim wait we’ll have to cover you up first!” Duncan yelled as he raced after her. They covered her arms with a purple jacket, her legs with pants, and the hood on her jacket covered her eyes and most of her face and with the help of some glasses you could barely see the flux on her face.
“I look awfully suspicious with these glasses on.” Kim giggled.
“Yeah you do” Duncan chuckled as he grabbed a couple of his things. Kim waited until he was downstairs to fly out the door.
“Be careful Kim!” Duncan flew out the door after her and they made their way to Yoglabs.

Lalna and Kim arrived at YogLabs a couple of hours later with no trouble. Lalna stopped her from entering the front gates.
“Kim you have to remember you aren’t supposed to be here. You’ll have to go in through the rocket launching site at the top of the mountain. She nodded and she headed up to the top of the mountain while Lalna went through the front door. He swiped his pass and the detector went off. He sighed and placed his face over the eyes scanner, which gave off a green light when it finished. He pinned his badge to his labcoat pocket and immediately headed over to the rocket testing site. He cracked his fingers and began typing in commands into the dashboard. The roof soon opened up and Kim fell through but activated her jetpack in time to not slam into the ground.
“Follow me and don’t make any eye contact with anyone. Here put this on too.” Duncan handed her a labcoat with a random name written on it. She took off her jacket and put it on without question. She walked beside him and kept her gaze ahead just as Lalna did.
“When we get into the high security ward of this wing, do not panic at what you see. Promise me you won’t.”
“I-I won’t.” Kim stuttered. Lalna took in a deep breath and removed the goggles from over his eyes. He had bags under his eyes from staying up late and rings around his eyes from his goggles being too tight. H tilted his head down as he walked through the doors making him look angry and evil. This worried Kim but she followed him anyways.

As they entered the testificates that were running around, working stopped and cleared a path for Lalna. One of the testificates coughed and stepped out of line. Duncan glared at him and growled making them all jump back with fright. As she passed Kim noticed all of them looking at her with worry and curiosity. Lalna led her to a set of stairs. They went down to where a single door stood.
“Stay away from the glass and do not tap the glass. Anything could set him off, and...uh Kim..”
“Yeah?”
“I lied about not knowing who Lalnable Hector was.”
“What? You lie-” Lalna didn’t let her finish and opened the metal door. Kim stopped and stared at the red stained glass cube. Lalna averted his eyes from the cube and stood several feet away from it. Kim on the other hand kept her eyes glues to the cube and hand her hands pressed against the cube as she tried to get a glimpse of the figure on the other side
“Kim, stay away please.” Kim faced him.
“Duncan there’s nothing wring I’m perfectly safe” She turned back around and shrieked as a pair of eyes gazed back at her. The person inside put their finger a couple inches below the pair of eyes and drew a smile. He smiled and waved.
“Duncan he doesn’t seem bad at all, you people are just locking him up for no reason.” Duncan chuckled.
“Hey Lalnable could you please show my friend here your room?” Lalnable began to write on the glass.
“Sure, why don’t you come inside through the side door and stay for dinner.” Kim read aloud.
“See he’s nice!” Duncan scoffed.
“Kim, his whole cell is red. We didn’t build it out of red stained glass, that is all blood. Those testificates out there fear me because I look like him. Lalnable has escaped and killed millions of our top scientists. Don’t think for a second that he is nice or friendly.” Kim looked at Lalnable he made a motion to follow him and drew a line through the blood to the back of the cell. There was a clear spot in the glass along with a speaker.
“Hello…” Lalnable grinned, showing off his sharpened teeth.
“I’m afraid that Lalna here is correct, my dear. But I must say you should try it they are quite delicious.” Lalnable pulled up a mutilated body from the corner of his cell.
“She was quite plump this one.” Kim gaged and turned away. Lalna growled and Lalnable chuckled at him. Lalnable suddenly stopped and pressed his face against the glass.
“That one! She’s a tainted one, a flux person! I’ve never had one of those! Oh please let me have a taste.” Lalnable yelled through the speaker. Kim hid behind Lalna and looked at Lalnable as he stared at her with a crazed hunger in his eyes.
“We’ll be going now.” Lalna guided Kim away from his cell.
“If you don’t I’ll tell Xephos about her.”
“You wouldn’t dare.” Lalna scowled at Lalnable who grinned with a smug expression on his face.
