“Duncan.” Kim whined as she hid behind him.

“How about I take just half of your arm? That would suffice.” Lalnable snickered.

“I already said no.” Lalna snapped.

“Even if it means exposing her secret to Xephos? I know he doesn’t know about her otherwise he would have already caged and started testing on her.” Lalnable sneered

“No he wouldn’t, Xephos is my friend and he and Lalna made a deal”

“Xephos wouldn’t keep this contract if he knew about you. Is that why Lalna has been making you cover up your tainted face and arms?” Lalnable questioned.

“I-I..” Kim started. She fell silent and looked to Lalna for answers. He stared down at the floor.

“Really?” Kim asked, astonished. “I could forgive, you lying about knowing who Lalnable Hector was, but lying about my safety and who I could trust too? Are you even allowed here?” Kim questioned

“No, I had to steal another testificates badge before I let you in. I’m not allowed to be in here in fear that I’ll help him escape. But you wanted to come see him so badly, I just had to show you, otherwise you would have mopped around the house and I can’t stand to see you sad or upset.”

“Now can you really trust him?”Lalnable taunted through the microphone.

“No…I can’t…” Kim whispered, barely audible. Lalna realized what he was doing and immediately tried to put a stop to it. He grabbed Kim and tried to pull her away from the glass but she refused and stood in place.

“You know all those stories about the evil man that was inside of him were true. He tried to kill off the entire Yogscast. He hasn’t fully gotten rid of it either, it’s still buried inside, ready to attack.” Lalna clenched his fists tightly and gritted his teeth.

“Really? He told me he was completely fine, what a liar.” Kim’s one good eye was glossed over and now the tainted one looked around with anticipation.

“Kim come on snap out of it! I-I’m not evil!” Lalna wailed but Kim ignored him

“I wouldn’t lie to you. All the things they say about me are sadly true. You can look on the data bases of the computers and find any information you need about me and it’s all true. Just open the door and I can show you how." Lalnable spoke in a honeyed voice. Kim slowly reached for the lever.

“D*mmit Kim, I didn’t want to have to do this!” Duncan shouted. He raised his hand to strike, but before he could an alarm sounded throughout the building. Kim jolted out of her trance. She gasped when she realized her hand rested on the lever and she was just about the let the psychopath free. She looked up at him with fear in her eyes and he responded by licking his lips hungrily. Lalnable curse under his breath as Lalna grabbed her by the hand and dragged her away. They ran towards the exit , but found it locked and sealed tightly.

“Hold on.” Kim dug into her luggage and pulled out her portal gun. She shot down a red portal and jumped through. Lalna hesitated a bit before running back over to the cage. He stared at Lalnable who glared back. He tapped lightly on the glass and watched as the man inside fell to his knees screaming silently. He then raced back to the portal and jumped inside. Kim hugged him as soon as he was in reach. He held her tightly.

“I almost set him free Duncan; it was like he was controlling me. I can be manipulated so easily now, I can’t even control when I lose it anymore.” Kim sobbed into his purple shirt.

“Don’t worry Kim we can fix this. We’ll get better I swear.”

“I don’t know Duncan the voices are getting stronger. I can barely hear everyone else’s voices anymore.”

”I should have never taken you to see him. I knew what he was capable of. Let’s just go to sleep and rest up for another flux buddies episode for now OK?” Kim nodded and followed him inside.
