Description
I've always thought the idea of a glowing nose akin to a lightbulb was rather absurd (even for a magical reindeer), so I decided to change it around a bit. Apologies if you prefer the original, but this is my personal take on the reindeer.
Bonus tidbits: Rudolph is Dancer's older brother, and both Rudolph and Dancer are the offspring of Donner.

Actually, the artist wasn't wrong. It depends on which film you're talking about. In the classic 1964 version, his father was Donner.Β The 1964 version was the first full-length Rudolph movie made and it has had three sequels and a video game. So, being the more famous of the two versions, it's kinda natural that most people think of it rather than the 1998 version.

I agree about the nose thing, but I, personally, believe it would make more sense if Rudolph just had a constantly inflamed nose that was red.

.That's actually very clever and easier to swallow than having an organic light-bulb on his face.

"I've always thought the idea of a glowing nose was rather absurd".
Oh yeah, cause, a jolly fat man who comes on the 25th of December to give children presents, and rides on a giant sleigh pulled by magical flying reindeer isn't absurd at all.

I really like this take on him The glowing nose was always intriguing to me, but never seemed realistic. I like the red fur patch idea a lot :3 Wonderfully sweet little deer too.
Merry Christmas

actually if Rudolph didn't hath glowy red nose then why would santa recruit him AT ALL??? ee my point? I think genetics wonked up and yeah. also Rudolph deserves many hugs for the teasing he endured like
"Ole' Neon nose".

"Despite his lack of grace, he is extremely talented at navigating in adverse weather conditions, (...)"
Even if his nose doesn't really glow, he does have the special talent to find his way through tough weather like storms, etc, which was always the reason why Santa recruited him, because his sleigh would've gotten off track without that skill of Rudolph

but without the glowing nose how would santa have known what a fine navigator he was??? plus he would not have been teased if it was just a patch of fur. case closed.

Did you know that both male and female reindeer grow horns, but most males shed them before winter... females keep them all the way until they give birth in spring.Β
Therefore, there is a %99.99 chance that Rudolph was actually a girl. Including the rest of Santa's team.

Dear Celesse:
This is Indy. Greetings from Canada!! I hope this finds you and yours well.
Due to the loss of access to my account, I find myself re-faving all the art from it, ergo; I'm re-faving your Rudolph bio (here) and your "Grandpa Rudolph."
Keep up the good work, kiddo!!
Believing in Sherlock Holmes always,
Indy.

It's a realistic depiction of Rudolph. I like it.
I agree. . . it is absurd. But, a lot of things that is better than real life. I like the original, and your take on it.
But, reality can discourage you from dreaming. Fantasies motivate others to do the impossible.
Talking from far away was absurd. Then, someone invented the telephone. Now, we have long distance relationships. Sometimes, it's an absurd idea, that brings the impossible to life.

Dear Celesse:
This is Indy. Greetings from Canada!! I hope this finds you and yours well.
What can I say about all the childhood memories this little reindeer brings back? Best of all, your designs of the reindeer makes look like how they're supposed--a good strong animal. You always see on Christmas cards that it's whitetailed deer that are pulling that big heavy sleigh. They aren't strong enough. Yet, this is wonderful piece! He looks like one very happy little reindeer.
As the song said:
"You'll go down in history!"
Thanks for the memories, Celesse!
Sincerely yours always,
Indy.
