The fact that I could tell these were made in Meta before I even read the description xD
(I think I may use the program too much)
The jagged front middle sections of the socks are something I my stuff does as well, I think it's because you (and I use to) work in slightly to low of polygon count.
Don't be afraid of putting Catmule clark on smoothing level 2.
it may make it harder to rig due to having a larger number of Polygons but it makes everything look a lot smoother.
(if you look at the legs of my 1.0 models and then compare it to my base I'm currently working on you should be able to see what I'm talking about.)
These socks however are better than anything I've tried as far as feet go
