Biography: Li Yin has been learning how to make music since he was very young. His parents were always needling him throughout his childhood to be competitive and to be the absolute best in his class. Before he came to MRA he was in the Orchestra as well as choir, which, by many people’s standards wasn’t that impressive. One day at a recital, he decided to put his own spin on the song he was playing, which surprised everyone who was watching it, but surprisingly, to him, they loved it. His parents asked him why he didn’t conform to the original piece. He responded by saying that he wanted to “give something a bit different” to the audience.

After that recital, he was given a recommendation to go to MRA. His parents didn’t really approve of the idea at first, but they later realized that they needed to let Yin think more for himself, therefore, allowing him to go. However, there was one big issue, he didn’t really know Japanese and for that reason, he worried a good bit before going to the school.
Before going to MRA , His family notified the school, telling them that Yin would take a gap year to learn a bit more about Japan, as well as its language. Despite it being pretty much common knowledge that it takes a lot longer to become fluent in any language, he was up for the challenge…

Now, He’s slowly but surely learning more and more Japanese everyday and tries to practice often. Though he has a relatively limited vocabulary, he tries his best to convey everything that he needs to by the necessary means (Writing things down, drawing up a diagram etc.), regardless of how silly he may think it is.
