Here is the Summer Dragon and he is bringing the heat!
And could any great red call himself such without his stash of gold and gems at his feet?
Made from polymer clay 4" tall by 4" long
He is the last of my season dragons. Here are the others:

Those gems that you use for eyes and decorations, do you put those in before you bake the clay or after? I am working on a project that will include those and I was wondering if they hold up to the heat required to set the clay or if I should wait until after and glue them on...

I put the Swarovski crystals on before baking because they have no issue at the temperature the clay is baked at. I hope this helps! Β

I am pretty sure I can answer this.Β
It's never good to put plastic gems into an oven, it's just nto a good idea. Too high risk of melting, but I have never tried it.
Glass is a pretty good thing to use, can't melt it in an oven and it remains shiny and glossy. (To my knowledge) It's probably really expensive though.Β

This one was particularly tricky as I made the wings too large. Somehow everything worked out alright.
It turned out to be my son's favorite thing I ever made so of course it is his now! LOL

It's okay I'm (*sigh*) short therefore I qualify as a hobbit and hobbits are experts at stealing from dragons. When they leave their holes, that is.
