Caelan is always energetic, hyper, and cheerful. He's always the eternal optimist and always sees the good side of things. There's nothing that could ever weigh him down. He's somewhat ditzy and flighty, and also very clumsy. He loves trying new things. He's always laughing and cheering for others. Caelan is also a little blunt, it takes a little explaining so Caelan can understand. He's extremely loyal to his siblings and family, and loves to help others. He's also very childish and naive as a Pichu.

As he grows up, he takes after his parents. He becomes self-conscious and tries to be "cool." He begins to flirt with girls, emulating his mother and twin brother Aero. At his Pikachu stage, he just wants to fit in, though his childish nature shines at some times.

His Raichu stage is when Caelan becomes significantly less childish, feeling weighed down by the world after his beloved sister Whistle's death. After violently killing the Luxray that murdered his sister, something broke in him that couldn't be fixed. He knew that he would never be the same. Though he still tries to be optimistic, he seems more grave and serious, like he could never be truly happy again.
