Description
Well I wouldn't exactly classify this as art. I just took one of my photos and copied it to get the feel for Fireworks. I am hoping to move a little bit more into vectoring. If there are any vector artists out there that would be willing to give some tips then I would appreciate it.
I might color this in later to experiment in that, but I'm not sure.

Definetely color this. I would reccomend analogous colors or a monochrmatic scheme. Any scheme you choose should be muted / grayed to match the low intensity of the subject.

Nice work! The fun part comes with colouring it.

The coloring, is the part I the most worried about. What tips or exercises would you recommend for starting out to get the feel of things.

Look at other people's vectored art. I have some in my gallery too. The greatest thing about vector colouring is that you can change them back instantly. Also look at album art like from the 1960s. Beatles, the Who, etc... they all did stuff that looked like vectored art; flat shapes coloured to look like a scene.
Trial and error, my friend
