Okay, before you start laughing or anything...Basically, the housing estate where we live has been sorta under siege (well, metaphorically). These guys from our local County Council have recently been going around cutting down the trees outside some of the houses for NO APPARENT REASON.
They say it's because the roots destroy the pavement, among other excuses like that... Personally, I just think they're a bunch of Once-lers. But anyway, the sad thing was, that the one directly outside our house (which I have photos of, prior to this one) had to go the same way, because it had raised the pavement where someone could easily trip over it.
But, we couldn't just leave it there, so me and decided to take a cue from The Lorax and do this. 
It's weird though - I thought that I would choke up at the sight of this, and yet I feel sort of...free. And calm. I suppose it's because I was always worried that something bad would happen to Pegasus (yes, that really IS what me and Wolfy "named" the tree - we gave it that name when we were both young and loved horses
), and now I know nothing will...I can rest easy knowing that Pegasus, the immortal, will live on.
