Description Here is my First attempt on Space Art

I used several tutorials that i randomly found on Google , wanted to give a try for few days , since i'm a deep Science Fiction Geek to the core , and even deeper
I really don't exagerate when i say that SCI FI is my life , i know it's a bit abused , but i can't immagin life without SCI FI
Such a Geek i Am

Well , comment , Fav if you like , tell me what you think of it . At least Photoshop manip such as this takes me less time than drawing

You should try make a better lens flare than just generate one, the stars aren't bad either :d, but I personally would have gone with less but more larger ones scattered. Also the planets texture looks reused, you should try use different textures for different planets, or change the angle which you use them. A good first attempt, much better than my first attempt .

Do you recommend any particular tutorial for specific things , such as lens flares ?
The planets are indeed the same , i just changed the colour of it , and i can't manage to find a texture than doesn't look low quality once spherized with photoshop
Thank You

Well firstly for lens flares, what I would do first is learn how to use the feather tool.
Then for the lens flare you can find a stock one, or (paint one yourself if you really want to), but you should have one with a black background. You can then put the lens flare on screen, and delete the edges using a feathered selection by 40 pixels or so. Then to add more emphasis with those circles, I would add a lensflare (generated by photoshop) on top of the one you just made, and then delete the main part of it. (The circles as seen on your orange planet). I would then desaturate them to give them a more blended feel.

For the texture that doesn't look low. You should use a very large texture to create a small planet. That way you don't lose as much quality. There are many planet tutorials out there I will link you some. I would use this tutorial to create an atmosphere (Most of the time)

And this one to help generate a beautiful texture (and atmosphere if you want)
[link]
And an interesting tutorial to generate an interesting effect:

But really, you have to play around to get the result you want. To create a planet texture sometimes you have to merge different images to get what you want. You can do this using the clone tool and playing around with the settings .

Hope it helps

No problem , you should keep practicing like this, atmosphere of planets is what people normally mess up :d, apart from good textures.

I shall practice again and again , i'm joining an art high school next year , so i might get better for sure
Space scenes are so relaxing and harmonious , it's my favourite kind of " landscapes "
