This may seem crap to you, but one word will explain it "performance".Msn, firefox, zone alarm, avg antivirus, nvtemplogger and ultramon for my two moniters.

i have the same background, but im forced to do so because I got a really bad spyware before and for somereason my background totally dissapared.

I use it so when I have many programs open and I dont have much ram available my wallpaper doesnt have to be drawn again. Also multiple moniters get a bit odd when I have a wallpapers and finish playing a game.

um.. comon dude. It's only performance, if you're running like p133. And those little icons lag your pc a hell of alot more than a wallpaper or icons on your dekstop. also if you want performance use trillian instead of msn.

no i mean what you did effects performance only in the case if you're running a p133 (pentium 133mghz). With modern pc's it seriously dosn't matter. Like the only thing out of what you did is the styles probably effect it.
However if you do want a significant increase in performance, go get aston shell. It actually works alot faster than win32.

Seriously!, ill check out aston shell I think I went to the site you either had to pay or it or it was too big for me to download. Also im on a pc where I login to my account so win classic speed things up, another think my desktop is usually not that clean I download alot and dump stuff there, I just hid it for the screen shot.
