Description
Watch the tutorial for free HERE Artist: Tim Von Rueden (vonn)In our industry today, your portfolio is your strongest asset in landing you a job. So let’s work on making it the best one possible to show off your current ability and skill level in a presentable, organized manner. There are common mistakes that I see constantly repeated when I review portfolios and throughout this lesson I let you know how to avoid them. I also include how you should present yourself in person and with your online presence. Persistence and Tenacity are key when on the hunt to land a job in this industry, whether you are an in-house concept artist or a traveling freelancer.
This tutorial gathers tips and guides on building the best portfolio in 9 different sections:
My goal is that after watching this video you have a better idea of how to create your own portfolio and how to market yourself. A lot of the times in this industry, it’s who you know over what you do unfortunately so you really have to make the extra effort to stand out and make yourself be known. I want you to remember to embrace failure and for every time you send out an application and get rejected, send out two more. The artists that have a hardened tenacity to them are the ones that will land a job, it’s just a matter of when, not if.
So get out there and start building the best portfolio you can!

Very generous of you to help us newbies out! I hope when I am established I am just as generous as you. My goal after I build my empire is to help other struggling artist as well - so many of us just loose hope and I can't imagine how many have given up with such beautiful talents.

Thank you so much for offering this valuable resource...for free! Very generous of you, I'm so so grateful and appreciative of your hard work. I personally can pay for portfolio help courses if I needed to, but I know many of my classmates who can't, and having artists like you who are willing to help without asking for payment is just wonderful.
I'm probably overreacting but really, words can't express how thankful I am.
Time to rebuild my portfolio! *rolls up sleeves and grabs the elbow grease*
