Description I was walking through a kaleidoscope of colors
with paving stones of blue and red and green
and splashes from the wavelengths in between
and maybe those outside them.

Things along my path were painted
in hues of the electromagnetic spectrum;
without regard for law and order
they skipped along the very border
of chaos and reality.

From the corner of my eye I caught
the impression of something flitting unseen;
I wonder what it would have been
had I the power to know it.

My footsteps sent ripples of color swirling
into the deep blank spaces beyond,
where darkness was merely an illusion,
standing in for my confusion
at the lack of perception.

Had I seen in infrared, I think,
the warmth on my skin might have translated
to something that is vaguely related
to the colors recognizable.

Or the frequencies from the radio
could resolve themselves in the patterns that I know-
the melodies would twist and writhe,
a steady drumbeat come alive
in a form of visual music.

But I think I should most like to know
the unseen world of things left behind,
fingerprints and blood defined
by brilliant ultraviolet.

Thank you!
It doesn't look like you've posted it on dA. (Unless I've gone blind!) Why don't you?
