Hi Gloria, I decided not to include a bottle because it seemed to me it was stating the obvious having read the title. I wanted the sea to look abstract as I wanted to give the viewer a sense of timelessness, it's the same with the nude figure. I wanted that moment when the sailing boat came into sight stopped in time. Did the boat discover the message in the bottle or will it sail by and not see her. Not every painting can be successful and I will take your comments on board. Thanks.

Here the sea looks more abstract. IĀ looked for the bottle floating on the top & could not see it.
Somehow the model, though painted extremely well,Ā doesn't seem natural in the setting. Maybe it's cause he pose/line of sight is downward.
