This pic took forever.. But actually I'm super happy to finally show you some interesting stuff.
I LOVE desert environments, that's why I decided that this will be the 'Home Town' for Zira and Nova.
Just watched Aladdin a while ago and Agrabah and it's streets has the most beautiful designs. Inspired me a lot to draw the Zorua's store.
The two Zoruas are based on my two Chihuahuas. One is black, one is white, so it's super nice, that we got the ghost type Zorua and the classic dark type one~

CHAPTER 3:

CHAPTER 4 - The Oasis

Wanderer still walked through the whole night. Only when the sky showed a bright stripe on the horizon he went down on his knees and rest for a few hours. Zira and Nova didn't notice too much of it. Their bodies had a lot of sleep to catch up on and woke only to devour some of Wanderer's dried fruit and a few strips of dried meat. The water in the gourd was getting scarce. But Wanderer remained relaxed and said they wouldn't be out too much longer.

Zira and Nova had visibly lost weight since being carried away. However, their spirits were slowly returning. It was approaching evening when they noticed some larger rocks behind the sand dunes. There were also a few palm trees. Was this the oasis?
Wanderer headed straight for it. The rocks formed a kind of frame around the piece of desert where palm trees, grasses and scrub grew. There was no water to be seen. But there were indeed some Pokemon cavorting around. Quite different from the encounters Zira and Nova had already had, these Pokemon were more relaxed and did not attack indiscriminately. Nova had to look twice when she noticed that one of two palms had legs and was moving towards her. The palm greeted the Camerupt with a nod of its crown and three heads murmured a greeting to Wanderer. He grunted and nodded back. Then he headed for a tent of some kind. More precisely, a red sheet stretched over wooden beams. Zira and Nova jumped off his back and stretched their limbs. It took a moment before they no longer felt the ground rocking after this day-long ride. They looked around at the strange construction. Baskets and other containers stood in front of it, all full of apples, berries and other items they didn't know. A white Pokemon lay on top of the elevation, looking boredly at them. It raised an eyebrow, then turned its head back and called out, "Customers...".

There was a clatter and a rumble and another Pokemon, looking very similar to the first, appeared from behind the goods. It was dark grey with red markings. A grin spread across its face.

"Ahhhh" it exclaimed delightedly. It was obviously a female Zorua. Zira had already met one or two. "Well if it isn't our favourite desert ship. And he brought customers too". She jumped enthusiastically towards Zira and Nova and presented the goods behind her. "So what will it be? You'll see that no one has as great a selection as we do, which... might be because no one else here sells anything hahaha." She gave a short, snappy laugh "Of course, that in no way diminishes the quality. These apples are as fresh as the day they were picked. Or would you like to explore the dungeons? We have the finest elixirs, scarves to protect you from the weather, mysterious orbs-" "I doubt those two came here to shop," the other Pokemon behind her interrupted her. "Doesn't seem like they have anything in return either," it added. It was also a female and looked similar to a Zorua. However, it was mostly white and its fur billowed as if it were underwater.

"Hmmm," made the dark Zorua. "But they have a coin with them, don't they?" she said, looking at Nova's forehead "Uh... what?" said Nova nervously "Enough already, Nutmeg. Before you try to sell your junk to others, take the time to see if you want something from me ". "Junk? Tse tse" made Nutmeg, but jumped towards Wanderer, who buckled his knees and took a seat on the sandy ground. "The first sac in the big hanging bag is full of chestnuts. Do you want them all?" asked Wanderer. "Hmmmm" made Nutmeg again, thinking "Nuts!" called the other Zorua from the counter and nodded to Nutmeg who understood. "Ah yes, all of them" she said "And what else?" She dived headfirst into the bag. "Under the orbs are the fabrics. Pull out if you want some of that".

It took quite a while for the two merchant pokemon to finish. Nutmeg bought almost the entire stock of dried meat and fish that was in the rattan box. Various fabrics, the chestnuts and orbs that were apparently supposed to have special effects. Apparently all these goods were not available around here. From what Nova and Zira heard, the two Zoruas had different, regular customers and therefore collected many different items, from distant regions.

"So what about you two?" Nutmeg asked afterwards. Zira and Nova glanced at each other "As your colleague says" Zira only grumbled "we have nothing". "We honestly don't know where we go should go" Nova added. "Oh gosh, stranded in the desert?" said Nutmeg with a soft grin. "Well lucky you" came from the other Zorua "You are in no man's land here, you are aware of that?". "Forgive my partner" Nutmeg chuckled "We don't have many customers at the moment. It's pretty dull most of the time. Many travellers cruise our little oasis here, but they never stay long. But if you want to stay for now, I'm sure we can make a deal.", "A deal? For what?" asked Zira sceptically. "Well, to provide you with the basics. You'll have to organise your own accommodation, but you'll need food, of course, and certainly a few other things if you're going to work as an exploration team." "Do we want to?" asked Zira, less than enthusiastically. "Of course. You become an exploration team, gather resources. You in turn bring them to us, we trade. You get what you need to live and we get new treasures for our reportoire. The one or other resident comes by, even stays, and our oasis grows. Well, how does that sound? Maybe you'll even become a rescue team when you've grown a bit" Nutmeg added, chuckling. Zira and Nova glanced at each other again. Grown... as if this Zorua was considerably taller. "And a rescue team rescues... Pokemon?" asked Nova now. "Yessss" replied Nutmeg immediately "there are always Pokemon getting lost in the desert, or injured. And well, then they have a huge problem, because currently there are no permanent exploration and rescue teams here. I think this place would be a great rallying point and make a nice little town. So we'll start by outfitting you".
"But give them something decent!" Wanderer grumbled to the Zorua "Your ideas are mostly hare-brained but, the whole thing sounds quite interesting. However, it will only work if these two get their strength back properly!", "Yeah yeah, now don't get your fur in a twist" Nutmeg waved her paw around. "For now-" she jumped off, disappeared behind the shop and reappeared with two gourds "why don't you fill these two up at the well. You'll get some stuff from us in return. I can't wait to see what I find. She jumped back towards the shop and dived behind it. Zira and Nova sat puzzled for a few seconds. "Ehm, where's the well?" asked Nova Wanderer. "I need to go there too. Just come with me."
