Photoshop CS2Heres a digital painting I did recently. Had it on my mind for a while now. I posted a rougher version few months ago on my blog, but recently I had some inspiration to finish it. So here it is.
Its of my childhood...quite nostalgic. I grew up with these characters, as with many of you, probably..
It was fun to do this, also thanks to everyone who bought a print of this at AX 2008 this year.

Doraemon! Tetsuwan Atom (or "Astro Boy")! Pikachu! Totoro! Gozilla(right?)! Ultraman! (the other boy, I'm not sure of...sry). You've got it all~~~!! I love how you put them all in a scene from "Totoro"! It's beautiful and surpisingly congruous. I mean, the characters don't stick out like a sore thumb, like I would normally expect from characters from different stories in different styles. Oh, and it feels like no one knows Doraemon, so I'm really happy to see him here!

haha this is great. it really does give me some nostalgic memories of my childhood, I watched all of these characters and more on cheap VHS tapes. good times.
