A very fun, if not somewhat challenging, project I did in a class back in college/university. We were asked to find an image and create a 'vexel' artwork of the image by isolating certain colors and tracing shapes using the pen tool so they were all vector sections. Almost like a posterized photo, but with less detail. Certain pieces could probably have been worked on a little more (ears), but overall I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. I did take a little creative liberty by applying a slightly transparent gradient shape over the piece to add extra dimension to the shading.
