The symbolism of the demonic, monstrous hands that grab her body, digging their claws into her flesh, is just striking. As if her heplessness is portrayed by hands holding her, making her unable to escape. The darkness fits well, both as depicting her feelings after the rape, where the the world might seem gruesome and dark, and also the frightening darkness that might have been in the place it happened. Lastly, the fact that the hands look like they belong to a monster or a demon, at least most definately an ugly, evil creature, might be picturing the the way she sees the rapist, as a monster, an inhumane creature. The bestiality is what makes this fantastic artwork so strong. It shows exactly how horrible, monstrous and evil rape is.

Absolutely amazing. Captures all very horrifying deed but also the helplessness of the victim. The fact that the hands are literally tearing into the skin really show how hurtful and emotional a battle like this can be. I can't say I "love" it, because it hurts me to look at it - but I connect with it so deeply that it moves me.

I love it. Especially the hair because it looks as if she just whipped her head to the side, so she wouldn't have to look at it happen.

Doesn't really remind me of Evil Dead as it does a book series I've read called "Sword of Truth".. Where women.. Called Sisters of the Light give themselves to the Keeper of the Underworld have to undergo a similar event as shown here.

I've looked at your pieces of artwork before and I have to say, even though you've heard it a million times, that you have a true and pure gift with the pencil. It always seems to me that your pieces must take hours and hours and HOURS of work to finish, but they're very well put together and I'm really impressed with your style.
