Certain Pokemon can only do Mega Evolution---
Effect: Tribute 1 monster; Special Summon 1 "Mega" monster, whose name includes the Tributed monster's name, from your hand or Deck. You can only activate 1 “Mega Evolution” per turn.

From reading these cards, you need to summon a hard to bring out monster by the effects of other monsters, have this in hand, and have the mega form in hand?

Because in Pokemon X and Y, only certain Pokemon can do Mega Evolution

I meant why only certain Pokemon? The variety I've seen only have some of the most popular Pokemon we know, along with of course a number Pokemon that have had a comeback coming for a long time now.

Good to hear, also one of the Pokemon I believe should have a Mega Evolution is Roserade, but the source I found didn't show a Mega Roserade. Now I'd rather believe that the source is unreliable, and that there is GOING to be an official Mega Roserade at some point, but if not I'm not going to be too happy about it. And while I'm on the Topic of Japanese creations, I'd best bring this bit of bad news up, some idiot in Japan thinks it's best to kill the Nintendo Wi-Fi service for the DS, DSi, and N-Wii. The date it'd allegedly happen is: 5/20/2014.
