did anyone ever do an animated version of the C&H comics?

I don't think so. Bill Watterson only wanted to publish books with Calvin And Hobbes and nothing else though Robot Chicken did do a skit of them once. And warning, the skit is very graphic and dirty.

what a shame,to take something and dirty it up like that.....!

Yeah, which is one of the reasons why I don't watch Robot Chicken much. They take some of my favorites and dirty them up!

It sure is! I miss the shows they aired back in the 20th century but a few of the 21st century shows are good though.

Which is why I use them. Right now, I'm trying to get my aunt and uncle to find the Krypto The Superdog series 'cause they only came out with 2 dvds of that series.

actually many series, starting back in the late 50,s...the Andersons started out with a small budget and developed a technique called "Supermarionation",using puppets, which later gave way to live action. some of their series included Fireball XL5,Stingray,Thunderbirds,Captain Scarlet,UFO,Space1999,and Space Precinct.

I've heard of Thunderbirds. One time when I was looking for Thundercats on DVD, a store clerk got me confused with Thunderbirds. I think they also came out with a modernized live action version in the 2000's.

Me neither. And there are some series that I like that are modernized that I like the classic versions better. Like Care Bears for example, they made them look more like bear cubs in the today version! I like their original style better!

Same here. I'll always love the original versions of my favorite shows, like Yu-Gi-Oh! and Total Drama which in the newer series, they replace the characters with new ones.
