Well guys, finally did it, but together a downloadable native file of a “Shattered Vector Painting”you cats have fun with this one! and send me pics/links of your results!!!
Files: adobe Illustrator cs4, .ai and .eps

Couple of things:
• Dont rely on my groups, break things, draw your own parts, etc. this is meant to be a experiment pack, not a brush pack.
• Dont get too messy- get your machine’s pose/basic idea figured out with minimal pieces, and build up slowly
• Use the magic wand tool to change the colour scheme
• the glowy bits are made up of lighter shapes set at “overlay” transparencies. glowy = good.
• Try to go for at least one 30min walk a day
• Please, no commercial use
• Again: Send me links to any work you try out with this kit- I can’t wait to see them!!
• Comment with feedback on this- I may make another one with newer pieces, so feedback me please.

This is amazing and cool, and I'm not really understanding the concept of this and vectors, but so far everything I've seen from you is just amazing. It would be nice to learn how to do this; might help me with drawing Mecha things.

ya, both illustrator files and eps can be opened in PS, it will be a tad limited use, but you should have fun non-the-less

Awesome! I've been playing around with illustrator for a few days after having the desire to follow your style, and this is a lot of fun to play with. One practical question though, may be noobish, but when I want to take a subset chunk from one group, and not the whole cluster of objects within the group, is there a way to click and drag without the non-selected anchors being stretched out?

its downsaved to illustrator cs4, and as an eps- should work on anything cs4 or up
