Description
DoubtThere lived a man who sat and stared
Into the fire from his chair.
His pensive gaze and wooden pipe
Ensured he would be thought the type.
He sat and thought his life away:
His wrinkles grew, his beard turned gray.
Still, every thought he let arise
From those of worth to those of size
He prodded till it flattened out
And said, “There’s better here, no doubt.”
His deathbed caught him unawares
Still thinking hard upon his chair;
His gravestone read, “Here lies a man
Expired before his life began.”
Certainty
A man was born with hazel eyes
And thoughts he quickly learned to prize.
He thought them shrewd, he thought them true,
And none could make him change his view.
He shouted his beliefs with pride
In hopes that crowds would take his side;
He spoke his mind and he progressed,
Gave all his life up to the quest,
But when the grave came before long,
A single word had proved him wrong.

Two things - 1. I've never read any of your poetry! This is very exciting 2. Is this based on our English assignment? Hehe. Bye!

Haha... was that serious or sarcastic? Cause I won't read it if you don't want me to.
