Description
they say the heart is where the home is,but i don’t know.
these days my liver quakes with rented fears
and septic glories,
and my lungs seem bent on
seizing up with oxygen
as if they were a miser hoarding gold.
the toothbrush bristles, unchewed gum
and watermelon seeds that clutter
my appendix pulse with spiteful heat;
my bones pull marrow tighter, closer.
and yet, my heart still ferries blood cells
with perfunctory distaste,
and i can’t help but feel there is more life
in all the others’ greed than in
my heart’s heartless detachment.

I really like the imagery you created the first bit of this..but I agree with you it doesn't have a real climax that demands attention. As far as poetry versus prose I cannot help you with that..I am by no means a poetry expert. Good luck, and I really love this.
