Description An eerie blink of green eyes,
The world goes still and silent;
A faint whisper, an undertone –
Sobs for aid, for uppers and downers
Narcotics & placebos, the numb soul
Fate veered, bliss and gloom tied:
Together by chance or my own will
Bony limbs held partially well,
A marvel or fortune, the wheel
That spins life, entangling it
Once more in the tragic claws
Of pleasures, that so unknown
Sound arcane and in clear light
No more than lucid pieces of evidence
Kept secret by a mere casualty;
There are those, whose days
A portfolio of glad events and
Loud voices over a stream of
Little thoughts and farce or
Scarce smiles and laughs,
Live with artistic euphoria
For their perfection, the masterpiece
Lies in their meetings and gangs
Or in those who they carnally possessed;
Then, there are those who, after
Failing at making life a work of art,
Insist of having it created by scratch
With instruments they’re given
And knowledge they acquired.
Both are equally extraordinarily gifted
With the talent of conceiving
A lie so grand that no genius and
No wise man can ever uncover.
A lie may not be everlasting,
But is the world? Possibly.
Are we? No, so blessed be those
Who die before humanity uncovers
Their lies and false masterpieces.
