Kin looks in the darknes at first sight like a somnambulist, but then so transparent and tender, you would think, it's a ghost. Wonderful picture.

Stunning use of composition and contrast. Immediately, the piercingly bright white of the figure is stunningly captivating; it's extremely high contrast compared to the otherwise very dark background highlights its form very nicely.
However, the soft, ghostly dissipation on the perimeter of the character fading into the darkness gives off this incredibly distinct spectral feel to the figure.
Placing it on the bottom section of the piece and having that darkness at the top gives the impression that the figure is being suppressed and surrounded by shadow, held in the prison of darkness. The slightly vengeful look on the spectre's eyes supports this feel, and it is quite chilling to have its eyes stare straight into the audiences'.
The ring with the things like beads of light adds a lot of dynamic to the image. It almost feels runic, magical; Β like a spell being cast by the character. This halo of light gives off an uprising feeling to the character; because of how the rest of the image has barely no white, I feel as if the spectre is trying to burst out of the darkness and is slowly building up the power to do so.
The faint glow around the figure becomes like a toned-down radiation of anger and resent, ready to escape the prison of darkness.
