wow, this is really beautiful. i like how its balanced but assymetrical. the girl's hair to the side balances out the thicker head of the serpent. very nice.

Wow, that is beautiful. I love the coloration, the shading, everything. This is the most beautiful thing I've seen on DA in a while. I love the ying/yang her hair and the butterflies form. Fairly subliminal, took me a minute or two to notice it. But terrific job.
I've heard the name Oroboros somewhere...and for some reason a snake comes to mind. Is oroboros a serpentine, mytholigical creature? Or have I just lost my mind?

oroboros means 'tail-eater' in greek (i think). it's represented by a snake forming a circle as it tries to eat itself from the tail onwards. it means the cycle of death and rebirth
