Description
I made some progress with my wall machine. Changed the model a little, and finally got some textures on it. Id really like to hear any and all comments on the model and textures. The model weighs in just under 3400 polys, and it has 1x 1024 diffuse and normal map on it. Im soooo not used to making stuff look nasty and dirty, and I think I over did it a little. I think I have around 10 hours total into this so far.-N!

Looking excellent. Texturing detail is fantastic. As I said before Very symmetrical which is a great thing because if you plan on having more of these wall segments in the same corridor it will defeat the dreaded concept of 'repetition.'
Excellent work

I am a game designer from Poland (FPS horror game called Insomnia is coming).
I am looking for great 3d model for my game.
Could I use some of Yours models in my game project?

You may have overdone the dirt streaks coming down the gray pipe, but the grittiness looks believable otherwise.
Also, do you paint your maps yourself (in Photoshop or the like)?

Those streaks are pretty intense, I agree. Ill play around with it and see if I can make it better. And yes, I use Photoshop to paint all the maps

Good job! try adding in a specular map to bring out some realism.

I think you should brighten up the wires a bit, at least color-wise. You just can't see them at all.

Yea, I can agree with that. Its not so bad when you can move around the model, but in the still images they do disappear a little. What colors do you think would work? I tried yellow, and it looked pretty industrial, but kinda blah all at the same time.

Green can work if you can find the right tone. Of course, red and orange are always good standbys.

Very nice, certainly very efficient even if the mistakes aren't visible to us. As long as the player/user never finds out it doesn't really matter, does it? (Unless it becomes a pain to US in which case one suffers by their own fault. )
Very nice work here.

Nice work! Some of the details you could easily achieve by doing a normal map for it
Thus saving you more tris if you wanted. I'd also say to add some detail around the areas where the pipes meet up with the main parts of the machinery, needs some stuff dripping there
All in all though, looks great

Great lookin toxicness...
I would say a quite efficient lookin scene.
Did you remember to delete the faces you can't see when you were finalizing? This will save you even more poly's..

Thanks! I did delete some of the back facing, but Im sure I could probably free up another few hundred polys. I sorta screwed up tho, and did all my uv unwrapping before I started deleting polys so now I have some big open areas on the map. If I had done it before unwrapping I probably could have squeezed some more pixels into it. Oh well - live and learn

Amazingly detailed work! Do you do this for fun, or do you have a job where you do stuff like this for a living?
