Description I sure hope I put these in the right category.

This is a typography exercise for my advertising class. This assignment was pretty challenging. I've never really seen art like this until this assignment so there wasn't much exposure or inspiration to draw from. I still didn't really get it as well as some of the other students.

For this assignment we had to choose words and using typography create the feeling of that word. This word and next one I'll be submitting is "playful." I'll leave it up to the viewer to figure out what's going on. I will tell you what letters I used though: G J I Q.

I didn't even think about that when I sketched it out. That figure is supposed to be hanging onto a balloon in the sky. More fantasy ya know? (another failure for me)

Ahhhhh i see it now! Maybe if you showed the person's feet not touching a floor? Or maybe made the "string" on the balloon ever so slightly longer it may be more obvious? But i think the beauty here is that its open for you to interperate your own meaning? I like it anyways.

I couldn't extend the tail of the Q. For this assignment the only way we could alter the letters was only to shrink or expand it or flip or rotate it.
