This began with talk of a dala-unicorn and ended up with a pokémon trainer based on Dalarna, which is the place in Sweden where they make Dala horses (a specially painted wooden horse that’s popular as souvenirs.) The trainer’s clothes are based on Dala-folkdräkt, traditional clothing in that part of Sweden.
