Description
Let me just start by saying that perspective, even single-point perspective, makes me want to cry and take refuge in a corner. I hate that stuff with a passion and yes, even though it's extremely important, I prefer to work without itThis is one of the bigger pieces from "Stories". I was pleasantly surprised with how it turned out, because I don't have much experience with Sumi ink. Despite the fact I was working on this at 4am this morning, I had a lot of fun messing with it!

Okay, well, your scot ninja underling legion can hang around and spy on me if they want to, but they'll have to sleep on the couch. Also, make sure they know my frozen taquito stash is off limits. If I come home expecting tasty delicious taquitos only to open the freezer and discover there are none left, I will go ape shit.
For serious though, thanks a bunch! It's odd you would think I had been holding back up until this piece when really this is a product of me trying to do some major time crunching. Literally, all of these pieces save three thumbnails were done the night before/morning of. So I'm super glad to hear you say it's successful!
Perspective is my god-sworn enemy, but yeah I feel like this one turned out pretty well! I was just worried there would be some super classy artiste out there who was all amazing with technical stuff like that who'd be all like, wtf? Anyhoo, I'm glad you like the smoke... I actually look at that now and think it's kind of messy, but whatevs. Just a brush an ink, that's all it was

This is really nice. I aready gave a long opinion on the larger story this was from, so I'll try keeping this a little shorter. lol
I've never used Sumi ink, so kudos to you for having the chance and getting a good picture (or should I say pictures?) using it. I like the smoke from the chimney, it makes me think of Japanese paintings.
If anything, I think you should think about practicing more with the ink, because from what I can see you might get some good profit from it in your artwork if you keep trying.

Sumi ink is fun, if not finicky. It smudges like nobody's business, even when there are no liquids to be found (that might have also been the paper I was using, though...). Oh yeah, when you do have the chance to use it, don't try to mix it with watercolors or other inks. TOTAL DISASTER D:
Haha some day I hope!! Some day, art will pay the bills For now, you're right, all I have to do is keep practicing!

Ahh, sounds like something I should avoid then unfortunately. My hand has a tendency of finding it's way to the paper and smudging things all around. xD But if I ever do use it, I'll keep those things in mind. :3
lo, well I went profiting improvement wise, not in the money sense of the word. But you're right, hopefully one day art will pay the bills! xD
