I was listening to this song, and this piece came to mind.

For those who don't know, Glory was my old sona/self.

She was the more happy and easygoing one, more than Mercedes could ever be. Glory struggled through 2020 and early 2021, until she couldn't fight anymore. Malacoda took her place throughout the middle of 2021, and then Mercedes was created in September of the same year. She ultimately took over, and Glory was pronounced dead. Mercedes was very different from her, more anxious and stressed. Nothing would be the same again, as all traces of innocence had faded.

Both Mercedes and Darkness grieve for Glory, and miss her dearly. Mercedes wishes she could come back, but it wouldn't be possible. She tries to put her old self behind her, but Glory's impact lingers and haunts her to this day.

Yeah, I'm just having some trouble trying to deal with the fact that my younger self is gone for good. This has been going on for a while now.

I don't really consider this a vent though. I'm really proud of this too.

Also, I know Darkness is supposed to be my evil alter ego, but she's changed a little bit. I have no idea how, but she just did, and she's more of a comforting figure to me now.
