the grim reaper stalks our time.

as she slits both her wrists.

thier babies are crying,
while they inject another needle.
a mother is lying,
that her daughter's not feeble.
the street's are all littered,
with everyone's trash,
closests are jam packed,
with people's dark pasts.
sweet-talkin' gentlemen
spread poisonous kisses,
to impressionable girls
full of love, hope, and wishes.
takin' a stand
can cost you your life,
try'na be a "man"
causes endless strife.
delusions of grandeur
keep the rich man greedy,
but pride and stingyness
has the poor man needy.
strings of whinos on the street
beggin' for a dolla'.
rows of endless teenage boys scream
"ay! he try'na holla!"
objectifying to nuthin'
she keeps on her way,
someone asks how much she costs,
an' she thinks that it's okay.
corruption in the world we live,
but we all play it dumb.
doing nuthin' about it all,
we just waitin' for the savior to come.
