Who are you to tell me what's false and what's true?Who are you to tell me what i can and can't do?
Who's to say what's black and what's white?
Who's to dictate what I think is right?
If i... walk with a switch
and talk with a twang
am i automatically classified as 'lil miss thang'?
If i... smack my gum
lick my lips,
worked the circumference of my hips,
with my head held high
if i walked with a strut,
would ya'll label me as a slut?
a girl's self-confidence
so often mis-construed,
in fear of bieng branded
what is she to do?
Give the boys what they want?
What they say they need?
when in actuality it's straight greed.
Some will say they love you
just to get the kitty,
some girls will give it up
which is such a pity.
So who should I believe?
Should it be only what I conceive?
Cause I mean, think about it...
If someone had said the sky was green
would the true colors ever be seen?
If they were to tell you grass is the only thing red
what color would it be when you bled?
So...
